For the first time in the UAE, the DuGym Gymnasts had their first opportunity to compete in the London Cup International Rhythmic Gymnastics held on 15th December 2012 in London. The competition was well attended and was tightly fought with high standards by talented gymnasts from Greece, Northern Ireland, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Estonia, France, Portugal, Croatia, Ireland, U.A.E and the UK.
Having a large number of athletes competing from across the globe, our local athletes had to perform their very best. They showed their fine skills on the floor, accompanied by music, with ropes, balls, hoops, ribbons and exceeded all expectations.
Chloe Young and Albina Ibragimoya were delighted to clinch the Bronze medals. Among the dedicated gymnasts who represented the UAE were Abigail Scanlon, Jenna Goldie, Kaylynn Niango, Oksana Nikitenko and Nurhannah Azman.
We are extremely proud of our all gymnasts but would also like to thank our wonderful coaches!
